ABOUT AL ALAMI EXCHANGE

The Al-Alami Exchange Company was borne out of a long history of offering money exchange services that date back to the early 1960’s in Jerusalem where the late Mr. Marwan Al-Alami offered money exchange services at Qalandiya airport. After 1967, money exchange services were offered first at Marka airport and subsequently at the newly opened QAIA until 1989 when the Prime Ministry revoked the licenses of all the money exchange companies in the Kingdom. In 1992, money exchange companies were allowed to operate once again and Al-Alami Exchange Company was established by the late Mr. Marwan Al-Alami and by Mr. Sufian Al-Alami, a senior banking executive.
From that date, the Al-Alami Exchange Company has become one of the leading money exchange companies in the Kingdom and the preferred choice for the Jordanian public, businesses, tourists and returning Jordanian expatriates.
Continuing in the tradition of the founders, a second generation have dedicated their careers to the company becoming pivotal members of the currency exchange community in their own right after decades of service.
